Our sound is an ecliptic blend of house naughtiness with pop sensibilities. Our uniquely talented duo is Adam 'Vyce Verso' Versolato and Matt 'The Sax Man' Sammut, two
war-horses of the Adelaide scene, long time friends and one -night lovers. Our live shows are full of energy, instrumentation, pool toys and a general great time.
How it started
The Lunar Society crawled out of the studio and onto the stage in 2018 supporting artists such as Alison Wonderland on her 'Awake' Tour. In 2019 we featured at ‘Bass in the Grass’ Music festival and released our debut album
'South Road' which featured the well-received single
'With You'.
Where it's Going
2020 saw, during a global pandemic and on the back of some ripper shows in the N.T, The Lunar Society play at Rebound & Rain Dance music festivals. We shared the stage and played Bey-Blades with a heap of amazing Aussie Artists including Ball Park Music, Timmy Trumpet and Illy.
In 2021/22 there was a continued drive to create, perform and develop The Lunar Society brand. Whilst preforming interstate, the boys also released "Gator and "Just A Little Bit" which featured on radio station Fresh 92.7.
2023 saw opportunities to preform in Byron Bay as well as reaching number 19 in Fresh Fm's Top 92 countdown for their re-imagining of the Icehouse classic, Electric Blue. This was highest voted song by local act make the countdown in the radio's 25 years of broadcasting.
2024 is set to build on the success of 'Electric Blue' with more shows and releases expected throughout the year.
